Puerto Rico Expedition

This workshop is held in the island of Puerto Rico, which contains a good group of endemic species. This island offers a lot of landscapes and chances to photograph Spanish architecture. From the coastal beaches to their tropical rainforest you'll never run out of choices to photograph.


Exposure techniques, flash exposure, handling low-light situations, approaching and working with our subjects, in the field macro techniques, multiple flash setup for high speed photography are among the many topics to be covered during this expedition.

Tropical Studies

During the trip, you’ll be taught about the species that you encounter and their habitats. Learn about the endemic species and what is being done to save them from extinction.

Itinerary Highlights

Visit to El Yunque National Rainforest as well as to Bosque de Maricao. A trip to the salt flats at the Cabo Rojo NWR will allows you to capture some of the wintering shorebirds. While in the area, we'll take a trip to the Guanica dry forest in search of more endemics and few introduced species.

Photography techniques for macro as well as bird and landscape photography will be discussed.
